[modern] Hindi word used in a pejorative sense as a conservative vehicle to denounce one's (lack of) upbringing and (non-Indian) modern world-view that doesn't conform to dogma. We are Idea Junkies with an Internet connection. We love all things related to the Indian Subcontinent, and its relationship with the larger world. But we like to call a spade a spade.
