Unashamedly Classical Liberal - not in the American sense of 'LiBeRaL', which is unfortunately all too readily used interchangeably as a synonym for 'progressive leftism' today.
My pseudonymously named social accounts have been suspended and/or banned innumerable times before on other (for now) more popular social networks.
More recently, the cause for this has increasingly been algorithms interpreting irony and satire in a too literal manner. Of course, such discourse relies on nuance, implication, exaggeration and parody to make a point. Big Tech however cowardly rather focus on minimising potential offence than investing more in machine learning research that would prioritise properly taking context into account.
Consequently, even the most innocuous and moderate acts of free speech are being unjustly stifled, which in the process assists various self-righteous zealots to increasingly police whatever they deem to be wrongthink on any day.
Historically, censoring my accounts has happened concurrently with the rise of PC culture, with sanctimonious Critical Social Justice Warriors disingenuously targeting me for speaking truth to power through what I deem, The Art of The Meme.
I've subsequently lost literally hundreds of thousands of followers over the years fighting the good fight; rising with dogged determination from the ashes again and again - every time more resilient, committed and wiser than before.
Now, I deem
Minds.com as a suitable home to rebuild and use as a base from which to lure as many as possible of our left behind normie frens on the other social networks to come and join the future here.
I'm especially focussed on attracting a greater South African audience to the platform.
