Open Mic Reading by @Plutojayce The bard knew all the letters to the songs he had tethered from a glitch in trigonometry manifested as philosophy And harboring a modicum of tales about the Ottomans he sat upon a fallen branch and entered in a spoken trance To the air he told Marleya's quest for a universal festivus that washed out on the other side shadows only left behind Then waiting for a certain sign he called out to the lonely cry forgetting all about the time before the myth came back to mind Across the path outside the gate laughing in a twist of fate a man emerged for he had heard a rhythm rising past the words You're right you know just what they say every story goes that way from now until the end of days same old misty purple haze I've heard it all from Byzantines to self transforming elf machines swimming through a sea of green it leads back to a simple dream Man I know just what you mean the bard agreed upon the theme everything I've ever seen was long before the Philistines The truth is on a frequency void of friends or enemies we're wave vibrations of a plain where love is all despite the game And so it goes in every song you know we've known it all along just plant a seed to let it grow and try to live beyond the show #poetry #openmic #minds #oc #creativity
