From a certain point of view a "Made up Character" like Nautica has no more right to be in a G1 related Transformers toyline than Windblade or Drift does or Loud Pedal or Road Rage does in Masterpiece or Crosscut or Sunstorm in Commemorative. but we are being encouraged to "pretend" in a historical sense that such characters as Bulkhead or Nautica exist in some sense in a G1 Universe of so Mythical Headcanon sort. As the toy Universe clearly isn't comic based like it was hovering around being during Thrilling 30 - but the same sort of opinion might be had towards Straxus or Scrounge too. So I have no problem with Nautica looking like Blurr (even if Scourge or Windblade would have made more sense as a base mould) the only reason I'd really object is that Blurr actually come close to working for Arcee so that seems like a missed opportunity to me. what with her actually being a headmaster and all and how another 2018 Arcee would be a waste of time as then I would just be doing what Generations has already done already. So I'm quite happy with this all being slapped together in a neo-G1 banner the only time I do tend to raise an eyebrow a bit is when they made something like Armada Megatron or Tidal Wave.. I don't object as such to them or to Grand Scourge either I just see it as going off topic a little bit ; but as it turned out it kinda worked out OK as it allowed Grand Scourge and Black 'Battle' Convoy to exist in the same Universe family as different characters - and if Hasbro repainted something as Nemesis Prime or as a Black Lion or something then you could have even more (Black LigerJack / Dark Leobreaker from Alpha Trion for example). I will concede so many Optimus' is a little strange - but I'll just cherry pick the G2 deco one and put it in with the funpub stuff and The Ginrai "repaint" is pretty much designed to be combined so I'll treat that like I would the various RID Optimus Upgrades. It's just Optimus "digivolving" (so to speak) into a greater for...
