"There are great ideas undiscovered, breakthroughs available to those who can remove one of the truth's protective layers. There are many places to go beyond belief. Those challenges are yours--in many fields, not the least of which is space, because there lies human destiny."
~ Neil Armstrong

“What you learn about America is people are a lot less interested in race than they are in character.” – Kevin Jackson, author, political commentator, and talk radio host.

#ShariSmith - a mother; MIL; grandmother & great grandmother; pack leader for 2 Airedales, a Pug, a Crossover Terrier and a couple of opinionated cats; a retired educator, education lobbyist & research agency owner; Christian; independent thinker, Meals-on-Wheels volunteer.
I'm also an American, Okie, Anglo and Choctaw/Cherokee, if that sort of stuff matters to anyone.
God, family, freedom, close friends, and education are important to me. I believe a solid education in critical thinking skills & reasoning is more important than social and gimmick education.
I like to read, go for walks with my pack, spend Saturday evenings at the sushi bar watching sports with friends, dance to Chuck Berry and write children's stories.
Favorite authors are John Grisham, Henry James, Shel Silverstein & Ayn Rand.
Favorite music - everything from country to classical. Especially like rock & roll from the 50s, 60, & 70s. My generation invented R&R, ya know.
Favorite movies - chick flicks, comedy, mystery, good drama.
I don't believe in hate unless you count bad hair days, housework, Memorial Dr. in Bixby OK and lima or kidney beans.
I dislike gossip, deceit, negative attitudes, drama queens and doctor appointments. I'm not too fond of being called granny or elderly. Gramma Boo is a good choice, however.
I've lived a long full life, but not finished, yet. I learn something new and interesting every day. There is so much more to learn.
