Whelp. It’s been awhile but just had to write about this one. It’s called “Gourds gone wild” a pumpkin ale out of the Tampa Bay Brewing Company. Ina season full of pumpkin ale, this one stands out. Either that or I’m a basic bitch. ;P If you see it in stores check it out. It comes in a 4-pk of tall boys. #beerminded #beer #pumpkinbeer #craftbeer #hopheads

Went to a local brewery’s 3rd anniversary (Wicked Barley Brewing) over the weekend and whooo boy! There was some interesting brews! They had this AMAZING barrel-aged bourbon mead. Smells like a nice bourbon but tastes like a sweet mead. At 18% ABV, that dangerous combo will...See more

Porter from across the pond to Poland for this deliciously dark and hearty beer. According to the label this won the bronze in the world beer cup (don’t know which year though). 9% ABV from Brewery Fortuna For my first #PolishBeer I have to say, very nice! #beerminded #hopheads #beer #Porter

Golden Monkey pilsner from Victory Brewing Company our of Pennsylvania. With a 9.5% ABV I’m fully expecting this to knock me on my ass. Can says it’s a tripel ale with “added spice” but mostly what I taste is banana flavor coming through. No lingering banana, but it’s a light and crisp beer. #beerminded #hopheads #beer #craftbeer #VictoryBrewingCo

Some Florida love with this refreshing ale from Intuition Ale Works. Trying the Jon Boat Coastal Ale and not disappointed. Not sure of the ABV, cause it’s nowhere to be found on the can, but probably the standard 5.6%. Light, crisp, refreshing beer with a fruity aroma and straw color. A beer I could knock back 1, 2, or 6 easily. ^_^ #beerminded #hopheads #floridabeer #craftbeer #craftbrew

A WHITE stout! Always a fan of anything from New Holland Brew and a particular fan of Dragon’s Milk. Saw this new white stout and had to try it! Bourbon barrel-aged and 6% ABV It’s smooth, creamy, & nutty but doesn’t linger. You get the heartiness of a stout without the heaviness. #beerminded #beer #stout #hophead #craftbeer

Trying a local wheat beer, Crazy Lady, from the Waterfront Brewery on my trip down in Key West. Technically a honey blonde ale, but it’s a nice beer to watch the sunset with. ☀️ #beerminded #beer #hophead #beertography #wheatbeer

I love bourbon and I love beer. With their powers combined, behold Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale! 8.19% alcohol (not too shabby) Sweet initial taste of bourbon but the smooth aftertaste of a nice brown ale. Would recommend and drink again. Edit: deleted other same post. Changed the pic. Couldn’t figure out how in the edit

Sours seem to be a thing lately and the only one I had up until this point was from Sierra Nevada, let’s just say....I wasn’t a fan of it. BUT!......I want to taste more. Maybe they aren’t all like that one. Stopped at Tampa Bay Brewing in Tampa, FL and got a tasting flute....See more

A little underwhelming but still a tasty brew

Trying to get better at actually tasting and enjoying my beer. Goal for 2019 is to put out a review every month and so far I'm 1/2! (Skipped January for "Dry January"). Looking forward to tasting my way through the rest of the year! Would love some feedback if you've got any on my latest review! I still have a really hard time pulling flavors from IPAs, tend to get overwhelmed by the hops. I've stuck to mostly stouts so far in previous reviews. https://www.irunonbeer.com/bourbon-county-brand-stout-2018/ #Beer #CraftBeer
