Went to a local brewery’s 3rd anniversary (Wicked Barley Brewing) over the weekend and whooo boy! There was some interesting brews! They had this AMAZING barrel-aged bourbon mead. Smells like a nice bourbon but tastes like a sweet mead. At 18% ABV, that dangerous combo will lead to some bad decisions if you’re not careful. But it’s good enough to risk it anyways. 1st beer - A sour lemongrass key lime bigley (6%) | refreshing and crisp. The sour makes me picker a bit but it doesn’t linger. And on a hot Florida summer day, very satisfying. 2nd beer - Blackberry Habanero Mead (7%) Holy mother of god did this kick my butt! Burn baby, burn! I don’t think I could do a full glass. I couldn’t even handle a little glass of this. It’s burns as soon as it hits the tongue. Burns on the way down, and then burns some more until it forgets about you. ;^_^ 3rd beer - CTC Brown (6.8%). Not my favorite but still a nice beer. It drank a bit heavier and on a hot day didn’t help ease the heat. *the rest of the beer pics in the comments*
