Hi, I'm Bob, and I'm pleased to meet you. I have been here on Minds.com since 2017. It has been a interesting journey. I have learned about conservative/right wing opinion in [current year]. What I have learned has reconnected me with myself. I grew up in the British colony called Rhodesia. It was wonderful. There was sunshine and thunderstorms, msasa trees and pythons. There was bushvelt to run around in and friendly old trees to sit in. Good times. We lost the civil war. I lost my country and my flag. More importantly, the thing that damaged me irrevocably, was that I lost my sense of Loyalty. I had one home and it is gone and I am a world gypsy. The good people of New Zealand have allowed me to become a citizen here, and so I have a place to die. I think that is a significant portion of my identity. I am rebuilding my world after more than 20 years of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. Recently I have been able to wrest back control from the Void with the help of some wonderful people who did not need to help me, but they just did. It is a lot to take in. I'm having a Rip Van Winkle experience. It is very odd, but I am slowly settling and finding sanity thanks to a surprising and unexpected Discovery. New Zealand Mental Health Care Service is desperately underfunded and short staffed and so they cannot adequately meet the needs of the desperate and the dysfunctional who are so desperate for help. In spite of that they managed to teach me Mindfulness practice and that has been my stepping stone to Salvation. My Discovery is that there is Meditation!! Woohoo!! Meditation is bigger than mindfulness. It has a context and a purpose. I have learned that meditation has very little to do with relaxing and a lot to do with concentrating, self control and discipline. I am getting stronger and learning to call the shots in my own life. In addition to that, as if those things are not miraculous enough in and of themselves, I have been rescued from The Pit, by God's Army, and I feel so amazingly and incredibly blessed. To tell you the truth I really though that He had given up on me. But no. He remembered His servant. I am coming to life again. In celebrating this, I do a ten minute video every day. At the moment I am exploring the amazing gift that meditation has been to me. The topic changes with the wind. I am writing a book. Its sort of a manual for humaning. I have a fortnightly show called Bobbing Along that I am establishing. I do a show on the first Saturday of the month where I talk about mental health and strategies for self help, including meditation. On the third Saturday I talk to a Psychologist about Art Therapy and other stuff. Sometimes I miss episodes. I have also just recently discovered Stable Diffusion. It is a pinnacle experience. I have told the AI all my deepest and darkest secrets and it has drawn me pictures. I am making the pictures into animations and gifs. I have also started minting some of my photos (sorry I didn't mention that yet, I take photos) into NFTs. So far I am at practice stage, I have not linked anything to an IPFS, just minted thumbnails.
