My Name is Nick K.D. Chaleunphone. My full give name is Nick (Nilavong) Khamhou Dethoudom Chaleunphone. I’m sometimes called Nicky around my family and friends. My Laotian given name is Nilavong, which is a Laotian girls name and it was given to me at birth by my parents in a refugee camp in Thailand. I’m from the state of Connecticut, USA. I am 48 years old. I’m from Laos but was born in Thailand in a refugee camp where they escaped Laos during the Vietnam war. I am a Firefighter/EMT. I am a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary
I'm old school, 100 % German by heritage, but my name was a gift. I'm spiritual with a firm belief in the Native Prophecy of the "Rainbow Warriors". I worked as a licensed massage & bodyworks therapist and have studied natural health for 20 yrs now. I am not a teacher but an awakener. "Shepherd" is the title I use as an ordained minister. I founded C.M. Ministry as an extension of my work to support Veterans and their families that are having difficulty. As a Service Connected Disabled Veteran myself, I can work with others without judging them. The families of Veterans also need support as few of them understand what the Veteran is going through. Our ministry has expanded to include First Responders (Police, Fire, Paramedics, ER personnel) as in many areas, it is the same as a war zone with the way people treat each other in crime areas across this country.
As a life member of the American Legion, I show a lot of their events to help our Veterans, Community, State and Nation. I am also a life member of DAV, although not as active with that great organization.
