I come from the land of Bluetooth, agricultural innovations, the concept of atlas, the compact cassette and compact disc, wifi, dvd, blu-ray, stock-market, bonds, reclaimed land (polders and dikes), doughnuts, gin, international sea-laws, the foundations of international law and many more awesome discoveries from which we all benefit today. And for a darker side of our history: the voc, the wic, also we kind of invented ‘apartheid’ and the word ‘boss’ is derived from Dutch.
