Hi, I'm Sam, I'm a stand-up comic, and will continue to be one intermittently. I'm also a farmer, and will spend most of the rest of my time milking dairy cows. I will also be writing and performing poetry. I also write novels. I also write non-fiction and essays. I also write political tracts. I write philosophy. And I write history and political economy. I am also a journalist reporting on local government corruption over (yet another) large-scale housing development on the land of my father's earmarked by the Council in Melksham Without. They are now planning a road through that land. If a road is built, houses will follow. And a piece of the countryside will be gone. We could rewild it, turn it into a nature reserve. Let some beef cattle graze on it. Go organic. Try an do everything to a high environmental standard. Secure the grant money. And so on. I grew up on a farm, and it seems (or seemed?) likely that I'd inherit a farm, so I wanted to be ahead of the curve in modern agriculture. I therefore studied a BTEC at Plumpton. I loved the course and wish I'd done it when I was seventeen. I wasted time on A-levels and degrees in "traditional" academic subjects. It was all bullshit. Yet more hall-assed indoctrination. No depth. No clarity. No substance. And me, in smelly overalls after milking, after actually providing food for people, in a supermarket que say, and people in line behind me holding their noses, and the checkout worker (and this is in Aldi) saying: "Eugh, you stink!", and me agreeing; but how fucking rude, no? and in a supermarket of all places! what a fucked up world we're living in. what a crock of absolute wet shite we're fed by the establishment. we all know it's all bullshit, so why present? there's no peace left on Earth, and nothing to defend.
