Nine more medicinal plants from road/trail sides here in Greece: nasturtium, eucalyptus, pine, poppy, oleander, rosemary, giant cane, common geranium, and bougainvillea. ⠀ ⠀ While some of these plants are cultivated and not native, in a pinch, that wouldn't really matter. The point is that this medicine exists—it's here, it's free, and the better you know how to use herbal medicine, the more likely it is that medically, you will always have what you need.⠀ ⠀ These took no effort to find; it's just going for a walk and noticing what's there.⠀ ⠀ As I noted on my similar previous post, this isn't a particularly medicinal place—it's the same case everywhere, even where the local original biome was destroyed long ago (so long as there are still plants) and the only plants growing are "weeds".⠀ ⠀ Note that weeds are generally really useful plants! Think about it: they can tolerate all kinds of manmade poisons and unideal conditions and still thrive despite it all. Doesn't that sound like a good, and increasingly important, trait to have? (Herbal medicine can help you have more of those traits yourself.)⠀ ⠀ And aren't we lucky that some plants can still manage to grow—we can still have some green life around us—despite the awful things we have done and continue to do to the environment?⠀ #herbalmedicine #prepper #healing #medicine #green
