This awesome image of the super star cluster of ~3000 stars lies in our very own Milky Way. Sitting in Gum 29, an interstellar nursery, Westerlund 2 is about 20,000 light years away, within the constellation Carina. Westerlun 2 contains some of the largest, brightest, and hottest stars we know of.
