Carpeting the world.... My old bandmate Aaron posted pics of the five pages of a 1992 MTX interview for Fiz fanzine on the face thing. Done at Al's Bar in LA by Fiz and Flipside's Thrashhead. I braced myself for some embarrassing quotes but nothing all that terrible is in there, it's breezy and fun. Highlights (sorta) are when Thrashhead notes my devil and/or skull wristwatch, mentions Danzig and asks if we worship Satan and Jon on says "Yes" and I say "I worship Jesus Christ." I don't know, that's just funny to me. The other quote is about puritanical "punk" ideals, and I come out with: "they don't try to reform us. It's a lot easier to wear slippers than to carpet the world. They have all learned their lesson, and no one tries to carpet us anymore." Those were the days. Everyone's trying to carpet everyone else now, all the time. Anyway, I'm stealing it. From myself.
