On #amazon in 2018, roughly 40% of the top sellers were based in #China Things to consider: 1) Traditionally (or historically), 'mostly' #US based companies would manufacture or wholesale purchase from overseas and sell TO Amazon at a markup (via direct import, domestic planned replenishment or drop ship). Amazon would then use the platform to sell to end consumers at an additional markup or #profit 2) By selling directly ON Amazon to end consumers, China is now eliminating the need for 2 additional markups. The distinction between selling TO vs selling ON Amazon while also manufacturing is China's unfair advantage. This results in consumers paying less for comparable goods but at the cost of hurting North American based companies.
