It may seem like I am jumping the gun here, but I really want to participate in The New York City Poetry Festival this year. It's on July 27th and 28th, and I have already put in a request for a vendor table for my business. However, I would like to host a small group of poets to do readings during a half hour block on both days. We would go under the name NorthEast Nightwriters because I obviously wouldn't want just Jersey poets to be a part of the group. If you are in the area and/or you're a frequent attendee of the festival and would like in, please let me know yesterday! :) The applications for groups started on February 4th and there is limited space. I would also like to arrange a reasonable meeting spot to discuss any themes and plans we all may have for these readings. If that is not possible, we can do a Skype or FaceTime thing.
