I love it when I get to meet my patrons! I often ship my art hundreds or even thousands of miles away. It's super awesome to have support from folks all over the world, but there's something really special when I get to meet my patrons in person. Especially for custom art! My patron Leslie asked me to create something with fiery colors - bright reds, oranges and yellows, and to have it on a dark background. She asked me to put abstract bird like shapes in the corners. The basic idea was inspired by the mythological Phoenix that rises from it's own ashes. I sort of wanted it to look like the 4 birds were dive bombing towards the middle where there was already an explosion starting - sort of like a never ending cycle. I love to create custom art, and soon I'll have space in my schedule wide open!
