So proud of all the women that have been elected on these historic midterms! First, it means more women protecting a woman's right to choose. That's so important. But also the fact is, women care about people and what people care about--like ending the death penalty. Yes, people make mistakes, sometimes doing the most awful things imaginable. And yes, keeping them in prison for the rest of their lives is expensive and takes up space. But what kind of society would we be if we murdered people just because they were inconvenient?
