Democracy fails without a highly educated society. Socialism and Communism fail if there is any allowance for corruption of any kind. A free market fails when selfism is encouraged in society. In any civilization, the totality of what is actually going on cannot be understood without taking the time to UNDERSTAND your opposition. Understanding usually takes at least a small amount of empathy. The less humanity cooperates with itself (each other), the more suffering there is in the world; the more manipulation. As the saying goes, do what you love. Can't figure out what you love to do? Then love what you do. Can't love what you do? Then do something else. Can't do something else? Then put the mind in the space where it does nothing at all, until you can love that. Can't put the mind into a serene space? Then focus all of your attention on your breath until you can. So many people are trapped in the fight or flight response, with over stimulated parasympathetic nervous systems. Being in a constant state of stress destroys the mind, heart, and body. The simplest answer is to let go. There are no solutions in problems. There is no unity in separation. There is no wholeness within distress or disease.
