BACK TO THE PAST The past few weeks everybody was worried about their team in the Russian World cup. Maybe this is why most people did not notice that we are going back into a time of repression, worse than that of World War 2 and the Third Reich. Most people may think Adolf Hitler, or one of his followers is the inventor of the Concentration Camp, when in fact it was his opponent, Winston Churchill. He gathered Afrikaans Boeren in camps, mostly women and children, to force the men to stop opposing the English occupying forces of Africa, notably of Southern Africa. But yes, the Concentration Camps have become famous when Hitler and his followers started setting up more or less permanent camps for Jewish, Gay, Roma and otherwise different people who he thought and said were the cause of the German economic demise after the First World War. Many people knew it was going on, and many knew exactly what was going on in those camps. People were put on hard labor schedules to in fact kill them and they were actively killed in gas chambers and in many other, even more horrible ways. Medicines were tested on the population of Concentration Camps, even chemicals with known adverse effects. Bayer is one of the industries still benefiting from this so called “scientific research”. But that is not my point here. My point is that we have not learned from our history. We know that bullies are not the best politicians, but we keep voting for bullies, because they look powerful, rich and seem to have a good plan for the future of the country. Slogans like “Make America Great Again” are used to ‘prove’ the truth of the good plans. During the Second World War slogans, like Arbeit Macht Frei, and ‘Deutchland Über Alles’ were also used to wave pictures of a good, strong and happy Germany in the face of influenceable Germans.
