Like most Catholic kids of my generation, my bedroom as a kid had a picture of the Pope, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and this JFK portrait. (Maybe Joe DiMaggio, or Lefty O'Doul as well, depending on what kind of family you were; that part's a bit fuzzy.) It's JFK's birthday, which is why I thought of it. I still have the JFK portrait in a box. Maybe I should put it up.
