My buddy Dan and I send each other sticks to do blind reviews on; here is a recent blind review. Blind review #5 (BP 6.5x52) ___________________________________________ Nougat, vanilla, cardamom, coffee and a slight black licorice finish in the retro-hale. Ash is medium gray with zero flake but has several fissures running horizontally through the ash which caused the ash to drop after just over half an inch. The combustion line is fairly thin and burning nearly straight. Palate stimulation is mild and focused to the front of the tongue with a fairly long finish so you can smoke this one slow. Second half develops a creamy coffee note balanced against a bright citrus finish. Mid-notes of white pepper and spice help balance things out. Palate stimulation continues to focus on the front of tongue and mouth but is not at all grating. Overall a solid performer with minimal burn issues. I did have to touch up at the very end due to part of the wrapper partially pulling away from the combustion line. Would gladly smoke again. This cigar was gifted to me by Dan and he told me after review this was a Tatuaje Conjonu 2012 Sumatra. Wouldn’t have pegged it for a Tatuaje.
