I used to buy #Duracell almost exclusively. I thought they were the best battery around. I don't buy them anymore. I've had $100's of hardware ruined by these things crudding up, I threw out a $75 Apple keyboard earlier this year over it. I took this in Costco earlier today, "Guaranteed 10 Years" and they can't even make it past being packaged on the shelf. When I still worked at the space center we had a 9v Duracell spontaneously explode on a table next to people talking. It wasn't even installed in anything, it was sitting there since someone was GOING to use it. You know what I buy now? Generic #Costco batteries. I think they work just as well as Duracell, only without the crudding up problem. I also have some AC Delco AAA's I got cheap, they seem to work well also. The mighty have fallen.
