Not nice, AMD! You should never silently remove a feature that might be essential to some users, especially security-related features!
Most laptops probably do not use the PRO versions of your chips, but most definitely should enjoy the benefits of firmware support for memory encryption. Laptops are the most vulnerable to theft.
