I see an old veteran of unit 5 has made caps and badges. Keeps some history alive. I understand many might not understand, but members of the South African Police (SAP) (prior to 1995) are considered military veterans for the purpose of parades and flag ceremonies. The old SAP was part of the country’s security forces. Many of the unit members were ex-military servicemen due the compulsory military service.
