The Artificial Islands of Tokyo
🎌 Did you know Tokyo Bay has several artificial islands? Here is a 360 view I took from the roof of the Gas Science Museum. Yes, this grassy area is really on the roof!
The first of the Odaiba (の台場) islands were built in the 1850s as defensive batteries. These days, the larger ones are home to several must-see landmarks and museums. These areas are interconnected via expressways and rail lines like the Yurikamome line. Other islands/areas viewable from this location include Aomi, Shinonome, Toyosu, Tatsumi, Wakasu, and Yumenoshima.
