In early 2015 when I announced on Twitter I was going ahead with the feature film version of Gulag Barashevo, I was talking on my cellphone, pacing in front of a window at night. Somebody shot a bullet at me, shattering the window. Missing me by 2 feet. It was an attempt on my life to stop my first GULAG movie, and they missed.
