The Atlantic plate at current is beginning to pull apart this is what that void is that everyone is talking about in the deep south Atlantic under South Africa. Soon new land will develop between Africa and South America because the African plate will push over causing the South American plate to sink on the east end and coastal cities of South America to sink and new land to spring up out of them is Atlantic from the western African plate.
