To get an accurate sense of important current issues, one needs to consult several differing, and ideologically non-aligned, sources. By 'differing sources' I don't mean sources with fake (professional-wrestling-like) differences, like CNN vs Fox, for example, which are actually aligned on the essentials. So, to censor non-aligned sources (which is what e.g. the EU has done for RT) is very detrimental.
