Is Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie? Or perhaps to think of it as either a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie misses the point. Perhaps it is not about the holidays, but rather about an individual's self-acceptance and identity. And to view the movie in the Halloween/Christmas binary ignores both the nuances and the (paradoxically) simplicity of coming to terms with your true self, and living your life...... Nah it's definitely just a Christmas movie.
