Lost my DD-214 so applied for a replacement... and got this.. "The veteran's service record does not contain a copy of a DD form 214, Report of Separation, or it's equivalent". I did get a form 13038, which shows I was in, but if there is no actual record of separation, so am I still active after 40+ years? Do I get back pay?
