The current madness which grips the western sphere reminds me of one of my favorite Benjamin Franklin quotes: "So convenient a thing it is to be a reasonable Creature, since it enables one to find or make a Reason for every thing one has a mind to do." In turn, that reminds me of another observation, the source of which I'm not familiar: "raise a child up without morals and you but make him a clever devil."
