They stole 46 years of this man's life. He lost his wife, chances are that he wasn't even able to go to her funeral to say goodbye.
There's obvious signs of egregious acts by the prosecutor's office and the prosecutor's office still retrys him.
I mean, how much of an asshole do you have to be to continue to punish a man after he's been proven innocent. The current prosecutor could have done the right thing, which the prosecutor back in 1974 didn't, and released him. Instead he decided to put an 84-year-old man on trial again for a murder that he did not commit and who was thrown in jail based on evidence that was not given to the defense. The law in this country is a fucking joke.
The fact that even after finding proof of a person's innocence that the state can still pursue charges or retry the person is disgusting. If there's DNA evidence saying hey this guy didn't do it, why does a lawyer feel the need to bring that person back into court to try to keep him in jail?
I swear to God we live in the worst timeline
