Mount Everest (Nepali: ą¤øą¤—ą¤°ą¤®ą¤¾ą¤„ą¤¾, romanized: Sagarmāthā; Tibetan: Chomolungma ą½‡ą½¼ą¼‹ą½˜ą½¼ą¼‹ą½‚ą¾³ą½„ą¼‹ą½˜; Chinese: ē ē©†ęœ—ēŽ›å³°, Pinyin: zhÅ«mĆ¹lĒŽngmĒŽ fēng) is Earth's highest mountain above sea level, located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas. The Chinaā€“Nepal border runs across its summit point.[5] Its elevation (snow height) of 8,848.86 m (29,031.7 ft) was most recently established in 2020 by the Chinese and Nepali authorities.
