Analogy is a proof based on comparing two things and looking for similar features. As an example, to the accusation "for 10 minutes of reading a book it is impossible to figure out that it is dull" you can answer as follows: "it is like a flat tire — you do not have to drive 2 km to notice the malfunction". Such an argument would sound more convincing than the typical excuses.
