Polite manipulation A person does not like to be used. He is more willing to do anything if he doesn't feel like being ordered around. For example: Instead of saying, "Bring me that stack of papers," tell him, "Friend, could you bring me that stack of papers?" By disguising your intention as a request, the chance of getting a positive response is much greater.
