Covered bed

The wife and I did a little volunteer work, at a semi-local garden. I saw an interesting take on a covered bed. They connected the cedar frame to the cedar bed with metal hinges. They connected semi-flexible tubing and used it as an additional frame for translucent cover cloth. I wish I had gotten a picture of the healthy broccoli plants, inside, indicating the cloth is transmitting sufficient light through the cover cloth. I am going to try something similar in one of my thinner beds, next season. #gardening #homesteading #homesteadingcommunity
