Jefferson's - Ocean Aged at Sea, Very Small Batch

#ocean #whiskey #bourbon #jeffersons #caskstrength "Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea, now bottled at 112 proof cask strength. Fully matured Kentucky bourbon was put it on a ship and sent around the world. It crossed the equator four times, stopped at over five different continents and truly is a bourbon of the world." And all that for under 100$. :O I mean you really can not fit a lot of whiskey on one voyage so that is at least fairly small batch... I am sure Voyage 1-4 bottling are rather expensive by now.. The more recent voyages are reasonable though.

To all my friends who accuse me of being a bourbon snob, this is irrefutable proof that ain’t true. The best thing I can say about it is that at least it’s in a glass bottle.

The bourbon continues to age after it leaves the "rickhouse" in Indiana. And with higher temperatures in Texas, that aging accelerates in the barrel. Thus, someone drinking 13 Arrows here likely enjoys a richer taste than someone in a different climate, Larry Sanders said." Very true and very noticeable. Jefferson's have a bottle they age on ships out at sea. Will post it soon.
