Obama openly discussed with Anderson Cooper how he thought there were enough “guardrails institutionally” that the “Republican establishment” wouldn’t allow an outsider to change the system. Does he think We the People are in favor of the “establishment”? He is basically saying he thought the Deep State was deep enough that Trump would not have been able to come in and drain the swamp.
