People who are willing to be nice to you are often unwilling or unable to help you improve, whereas people who can guide you towards improvement are often pricks. There's no nice way to tell someone "You're fat. Lose weight." There's no nice way to tell someone "Feeling sorry for yourself all the time makes you a loser." Etc. What is more valuable than gold, therefore, is someone who doesn't specifically make you feel inferior, but nonetheless explains HOW to go about improving yourself and encourages you to do so.

Alright, so I've heard a bunch of right-wing opinions in favor of Matt Walsh's raising money for AOC's family. Most of them boil down to "we're demonstrating the hypocrisy/awfulness/whatever of AOC and the left wing" Okay so three things here: 1. So the goal was never to help her grandma, congrats, that's not really a good thing. If it was, it's still stupid, because AOC has the means to help her own family quite easily. 2. Literally no one cares that you "demonstrated" anything about the left. Anything you have """""newly"""" shown about her and leftists has been known all along. It is also known TO THEM, they do not care. They are not logical people. 3. This money could have been used for actual good, to organize the right, or to help out the people who walked into the Capitol on Jan 6th currently being railroaded by the feds. You got lucky that leftists are even more retarded than you were being, and returned it all. This is a virtue-signal, whether you like it or not. Whichever way you look at it, it's either "look at how magnanimous the right is", or a more cynical, "look at how terrible the left is". Either way, pointless posturing. Actually do something worthwhile next time.
