Mihai Eminescu statue, Romania 🇷🇴

Mihai Eminescu's statue, made by the artist Eremia Costel Grigorescu is considered to be among the 20 most creative and spectacular statues in the world! Grigorescu completed his work around the year 2000 and his sculpture was based upon the work of a Bessarabian artist of the '60s, Aurel David, called "Eminescu's Tree". In 2001 the artist died before he could enjoy the recognition about this specific artwork of his, found at the town of Onesti, dedicated to the national literary figure of both Romania and Moldavia.
