When I was growing up, everytime my dad heard sirens outside, he'd say "They're coming for you!"
I knew they weren't coming for me. I would laugh. He would laugh.
I still say, "They're coming for you!" Everytime I hear sirens. It's the first memory I have of my sense of humor and something of my dad's I still carry with me.
