The Philippine Crocodile also known as the Mindoro Crocodile, the Philippine Freshwater Crocodile, the Bukarot, or the Buwaya is a crocodile native to the Philippines and is currently listed as critically endangered.

Reasons for critically endangered status - Hunting, habitat destruction.

Conservation efforts - Since 2003, the Mabuwaya Foundation has worked with local populations to change the perception of this species, as well as to protect and create new habitat and nesting sites. They have been successful in routinely breeding this species.
