The Roman "Lorica Squamata". A type of scale armor that was used in the days of the Roman Republic. Small metal scales of iron or bronze were sewn to a fabric backing to hold them all together. No fully intact set has ever been found. The one pictured has been reconstructed from random pieces of incomplete sets. #roman
