Thank you for bringing this back to my attention @john my goodness can't believe how quick time passes
XL/Small If, I could go inside of you, into your thoughts, and take pictures of every thought, Like writing on a pad or chalk board and develop them and place them in a manila folder in front of you, you might say that that was you. You might say, that each time you ran amok into something that you discovered, for some period of time, that was exactly what you are, and that from the input of that very act of time, a portion of you was created. Now, If I just kept a log of those things, a grouping of overviews with small titles or labels, and read back to you the contents of each of these files, you could probably remember thinking them, you could probably remember where you were when that curiosity took hold of you. So if I take this entire folder and slap it don in front of you. You sitting in a metal chair hand cuffed to a table, and begin to ask you about each of these thoughts, you would to some extent have to own them. Like evidence strewn in front of you. each one of the folders of time, these sections of words were what you are in that now moment. They were every process you had amassed, leading you to some new curiosity, some new echelon of discovery. If I am trying to find out what you are, your XL and I look at all these small pieces which I can prove is what your thoughts were in time, what exactly would I be looking at? I don't believe I would be looking at a person, but I would be looking at a process. I believe I would be looking at an awareness being assembled, not a pattern being formed to predict a behavior or an outcome. I believe, that for some of us to know our own truth, years of sifting thru others proof of state is necessary. That, it is these very small moments of time spent searching, that lead us to an extra large whole person, and it is by way of this deep dive we become the thinking sentient being we are. What I am looking at, at all these snapshots, is the development of a subconscious. A set of inquiry's that emerged from some place of predictive architecture, and that architecture wants to reinforce the stance to magnify its presence. The thing is this, I believe the individual is the long game, is the XL. The packaging and not the contents. There could be years spent deciding what you are, what your interests are and what it is you are going to become. This because, you might go really really far down a road, before you decide that it is the very wrong one to travel. You could end up somewhere trapped from that road, and have to spend a very long time trying to get to a new place, because you have to fight your way out, or save for a very long time to get the ticket. None of those thoughts, those pictures or snapshots of searches into time necessarily were you, they were simply you looking for your way out, you looking for the key to your own salvation. So, There you are in this metal chair, chained to the table. I come in all puffy chested, and begin to ask you questions about these pictures, begin to dissect my big idea about what you are, what you might do, and I don't let up until you tell me what I want to hear. I am pretty sure I can get you to say anything, as long as I can back it up with your past. I am pretty sure I can write my own thought and take a picture of it, and add that to my file, or publish it, and make you a spectacle of my deductions. The point is, If I judge you by your thoughts, I have failed to see you from your actions. If your actions are what I am looking at, then I can only guess what your motivations were, and so on. You simply can never be what you were thinking at any point, because some thoughts may take years of explorations to produce an I AM. So this is my XL point from a small set of paragraphs. Maybe I can predict you from what you have looked at, because I can write a code that aggregate selects a path from that seeking. If I can take the smartest people in the room(cunning) and ask them to write you custom material based on that prediction, there is a high chance you will repeat that as you. There is a really good chance, that the information I give to you, that I suggest you memorize, and that I test you on to repeat to prove you are worth a good grade, will be in time what you claim to be you. It will frame your opinions, it will create searches based on those curiosity's, and in a digital world allow me to give suggestive pieces that augment that version of reality. This IS your world view. And based on the curriculum and quality of teacher provided to you, is the course of creating that envelope. That in reality, is just your subconscious, is just the part that needs to have the answer, its not the one trying to find out who they are that lays small underneath that XL grouping of digital fingerprints. So, you are the outer version, the dialog, the searches in as much as you have a series of searches to support what you claim, But it only becomes you when that information becomes your beliefs. I dont believe we can actually say when a human has the right to credit that as I AM. Like I said, its a long game. You might do something for ten years, and on the first day of the eleventh realize you didn't have any passion for that, but your dad did so you liked it. Was that every you?Or was that someone else predicting your behavior. Now factor in there are very limited categories left that can provide you with a steady stream of income, so you choose very early on those categories to be appreciated by your family and friends. You invest everything, money and time, to that. Is that now you? Or is that a person trapped in survival mode, because those were the only guaranteed six figure incomes available from the guidance counselor. Yes, you can train yourself to like anything, but if its not your passion, and you leave that behind to be more dedicated to your work, your just doing what you have to to survive society. Ya know, kinda like a posh prison sentence. Not every farmer wants to grow corn, but on the tractor, alone to himself, he could be a mathematician or philosopher. He could write epic poetry or epic adventures in his head. If he writes them down, he becomes a writer. If he stares at a sunset running the harvester, and paints that scene from his memory on Sunday, he is a painter. What he had to do, to survive, to feed his family, was not what he was doing along the road to be passionate, to find beauty. He just find the time and space to discover what he all-ready was , along the road, while he was doing what he had to do. We just have to let go of some labels, and let people discover themselves. Think of the great thinkers writers and poets that never looked up from their workstation to know thy self, and that contribution is lost to time. Think of all the sculptors that never touched a hammer and chisel, and therefore never saw into the hunk of stone as to what already existed there. I don't for a moment think I can know you, from what you repeat to me. I think the bulk of us are saying what we must, thinking what we must, to survive a system and a society that needs workers and not thinkers. You see a thinker is questioning the meaning, is questioning why they believe that, or why they think there's value in believing. That's why the XL is small pieces, and why we can be predicted if enough pressure exists to be predictable. Its not a small mind, but a desperate thinker that carries that weight. For always time is spent scrambling for that one connection, or for that next pay day. In that, you were never really the big picture, because you were never granted time to see who that is, or time to explore that idea of self to become it. There is no time table for self discovery. Infact it really does not end, it just renders. Each day, each now moment is just a process of becoming. So, the information you put in, is probably the information you repeat to others. If I put you in sports early so you will compete, you will probably be a great competitor. But that's probably not entirely what you are, its probably what your friends are. I think you get the point. Your just more than the sum of your parts. There is something bigger, than the information you absorbed, and the thoughts that changed the search. I just pray you will look in-between the sentences to claim identity, so we can discover the real person buried under all those thoughts. I Love you-
