Wa-Shu-Na-Koo-Ra - aka Bad Gun (the name given by his grandfather), Rushing War Eagle, War Eagle, Charging Eagle, He Who Follows The Eagle, Mandan Tribe, Son of Four Bears, b. 1829 at Fort Clark Village. His father, Four Bears (Ma-ta-to-pe), and mother, Brown Woman, both died in 1837 at age 53 of smallpox. After the death of his parents, Bad Gun went to Hidatsa village to live with a relative.
