Renaissance inspired cat portrait - acrylic on canvas - 2020 I noticed a trend happening with some artists and companies turning pet portraits into funny, regal works of art, so I thought it would be fun to do a special portrait of one of my own cats in a similar style. I researched old Renaissance era works for ideas and this art was born. I have plans to do a companion peice when my other cat (Ferris Muller) turns 1 year old. I might make him into a royal knight. Some now-extinct animals are depicted, meaning the art is likely more than 12,500 years old: https://humansarefree.com/2021/01/ice-age-rock-paintings-found-in-colombian-rainforest.html
