Like so many people these days, I don't have or watch old school television. Therefore, I can't be a passive news consumer. I'm at my parents' for Christmas, just a few minutes of ghastly television is enough for me to understand where unthinking #covid1984 conformity comes from. On the other hand, scrolling through the menu I see that there is a show on The Learning Channel called Dr. Pimple Popper, so I guess that I shouldn't fret too much about people who watch tv not having access to important information.
