[posted elsewhere] If masks minimized spread from infected individuals, then there'd be inverse (negative) correlation of mask use with 22-day lagged deaths. Yet for the summer months in the US -- as I've shown through Excel -- there was positive correlation (more masks = more deaths). Increases in US mask use explained over 90% of the increases in US deaths seen 22 days later.

The Asian Flu pandemic of 1957 killed 409 per million in just 6 months, so the annualized (12-month) "per million death rate" would be well over 600 per million -- though it was likely somewhat less than double (somewhat less than 818 per million). A value of 818 deaths per million, with a 330 million population, would be 270,000 deaths in 12 months.
