... fan page: "More cassette ephemera. This is the tape that Frank Portman gave me in 1988 so that I could learn the songs when I first joined The Mr. T Experience." https://www.facebook.com/groups/642148675925832/permalink/1678237055650317/ Cassette ephemera indeed - for those who care, "Alisa's Song" is most likely "A Song about a Girl Who Went Shopping"; the instramental is likely "A Weekend in Hogboro"; no idea what "Beyond Me" might be; "The One that Got Away" is a Jon von song that never got recorded completely or properly or released (but which will feature in an upcoming Song for Odin entry.) The source of these recordings was probably the "Lowdown demo" recorded at Greg Freeman's Lowdown Studios in September, 1988, 8 track, Byron on bass. (I know because the masters survive and are clearly labelled and dated -- good job, Greg.) I remember some of this stuff sounding kind of okay, but it was a low priority for tape transfer and I haven't heard it in over 30 years so... #music #songs #minds.
